MNSUET Launches Anti-Drug Awareness Drive in Compliance with HED Directives

Muhammad Nawaz Sharif University of Engineering and Technology (MNSUET), Multan, has initiated an Anti-Drug Awareness Drive in line with the directions issued by the Higher Education Department (HED), Government of the Punjab, and the Punjab Higher Education Commission (PHEC).

The campaign aims to protect youth from drug addiction, promote a healthy and safe campus environment, and ensure strict monitoring to prevent the availability of drugs within educational institutions.

As per HED directives, all universities are instructed to:

  • Organize frequent anti-drug awareness programs for students, faculty, and parents.

  • Ensure strict monitoring within campuses to eliminate drug availability.

  • Make anti-drug testing mandatory for admissions in colleges and universities.

  • Conduct random testing and impose penalties on students found involved in drug use.

  • Arrange psychological counselling and stress management sessions for students.

  • Promote extra-curricular activities throughout the academic year to engage students positively.

MNSUET remains fully committed to implementing these measures and fostering a drug-free academic environment. The University encourages all students, faculty, and staff to actively participate in this campaign and contribute to building a healthier, more responsible youth community.
