About

The Department of Chemical Engineering was established in 2012 as a part of MNS UET, Multan. The department offers undergraduate and graduate degrees in Chemical Engineering. Currently, the students enrolled are around 160 including both undergraduate and graduate. The Department has a faculty of 11 out of which 3 are Ph.D.’s and 8 have a master’s degree. Faculty members with higher qualifications teach graduate courses and supervise research.

Our B.Sc. Chemical Engineering program is accredited with Pakistan Engineering Council while for Engineering Technology, National Technology Council recently visited the department for accreditation. MNS UET is one of the premier engineering institutions in Southern Punjab region. Our undergraduate program provides our students with the necessary tools and training to succeed at the next level. The bachelor’s curriculum trains Physics and Mathematics fundamentals followed by an in-depth coverage of the principles of Chemical Engineering both in classrooms and well-equipped laboratories. Industry advisory Board has been established to revise the curriculum as per industry requirements. The curriculum is regularly revised to adapt to the dynamically changing needs of the field of engineering. Internships in the local industry provide the students with hands-on experience on industrial equipment. Moreover, breadth is added to their technical know-how through industrial tours to the leading industries in the country.

The graduate courses are aimed at bringing the students abreast with the most recent developments in their fields of specialization. Research work being carried out at the department has direct bearing on the needs of national industry. Faculty members and graduate students regularly publish and present in national and international journals conferences. I also urge you to visit the Department and discuss future collaboration with the faculty members.
