Introduction
To maintain and enhance the quality of higher education is the primary objective of each university. To achieve this objective, a mechanism of establishment of QECs has been developed by the Quality Assurance Agency, Higher Education Commission (HEC) to improve the standards of quality of higher education in a systematic way with uniformity across country. Quality Enhancement Cell at Muhammad Nawaz Sharif University of Engineering and Technology, Multan was established in March 2016. QEC is fully functional to carry out the activities as per instructions by the QAA.
Quality is an inherent and distinguished characteristic through which an institution can guarantee the maintenance and enhancement of its education. Quality is an ongoing process of building and sustaining relationships by assessing, anticipating, and implied needs. Educational standards are Enhanced and maintained through quality of education.
QEC is responsible to develop quality assurance processes and methods of evaluation that quality of provision and standard of awards are being maintained and to foster curriculum, subject and staff development together with research and other scholarly activities.

1st International Workshop 2025 Advancing International Education via Sustainable Goals: Collaborating for Gobal Success in Collaboration with ITEA (ICCCM) held at Muhammad Nawaz Sharif University of Engineering & Technology on January 22, 2025. Worthy Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Muhammad Kamran chaired the workshop, while Dr. Benjamin Leongfrom ITEA (ICCCM) was the Chief Guest. Dr. Rooha Masroor, Incharge Quality Enhancement Cell, Dr. Asim Umer Registrar & Dr Asifa Maqbool were the organizers of tha workshop. Representatives from universities across Pakistan participated as well, making it a significant gathering for academic collaboration.
The Vice Chancellor of MNS UET inaugurated the Water Filtration Plant under Prime Minister Green Youth Movement Program with the Registrar and Incharg QEC also in attendance, marking a significant milestone in sustainable infrastructure. Inauguration held on 26 November 2024.
